📜Biography
Manoj Hirantha is a Lecturer (On Assignment Basis) in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Technologies at the Faculty of Technology, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. He began his academic career in November 2022 as a Temporary Demonstrator attached to the department and was subsequently appointed as a Temporary Assistant Lecturer, where he has been actively engaged in teaching, laboratory coordination, and student supervision.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Honours) in Electrical and Electronic Technology from Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. His teaching and research interests include embedded systems, electronic circuit design, power electronics, and industrial automation.
His research primarily focuses on solar energy applications, including high-efficiency photovoltaic systems, solar-powered water distillation technologies, and sustainable energy solutions for agricultural and industrial applications. He is also interested in developing practical engineering solutions that integrate embedded systems, IoT technologies, and renewable energy to address real-world challenges.
Beyond his academic responsibilities, he contributes to laboratory development, field visit coordination, and outreach activities. His extracurricular interests include video editing, vlog creation, photography, digital media production, and technology communication, where he combines engineering knowledge with creative content creation to engage wider audiences.
Mr. Manoj is committed to delivering industry-oriented education, promoting innovation through applied research, and preparing graduates with the technical knowledge and practical skills required to excel in the rapidly evolving fields of electrical and electronics.
