📜Biography
Avishka Thisera is a Temporary Demonstrator attached to the Department of Electrical and Electronic Technology, Faculty of Technology, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Honours) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology from Rajarata University of Sri Lanka and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Electrical Power Applications at the University of Peradeniya.
His teaching and research interests encompass power electronics, electrical machines and drives, power systems, renewable energy technologies, electrical installations, and intelligent energy systems. He is engaged in research on advanced power electronic applications for improving energy efficiency and the performance of electrical systems. In addition to teaching undergraduate laboratory courses, he contributes to laboratory development, student mentoring, and scholarly research. His long-term goal is to advance engineering education through high-quality teaching, impactful research, and meaningful collaboration with academia and industry.
