📜Biography
Lakmal Bandara is an academic staff member of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Technology, Faculty of Technology, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. He is engaged in university teaching, laboratory instruction, and academic coordination activities, contributing to undergraduate education in electrical and electronic engineering technology.
He has served in several academic and administrative roles, including Academic Sub-Warden of New Pandula Male Hostel and Member of the Service Manual Committee at the Faculty of Technology. He has also contributed as an Invigilator for the Diploma in English Examinations (2024–2026) conducted by the Department of English Language Teaching and the Bachelor of Business Administration (General) External Degree Examinations held in August/September 2024 at Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. In addition, he served as Field Visit Coordinator for the Department of Environmental Management.
He currently serves as a Temporary Instructor/Demonstrator in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Technology and actively participates in university development activities, including coordination of the Business Incubation Cell Final Pitching Event and contribution to STEM School Outreach Programs 2024.
He is also actively involved in innovation development within the department, having designed and developed two educational innovations to enhance laboratory teaching and student practical training.
His professional interests focus on strengthening practical engineering education, student-centered learning, and effective academic administration within the university system.
