📜Biography
Sanjaya Lakmal Rathnayaka is a graduate of the Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Honours) program at Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. He is affiliated with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Technology, Faculty of Technology, where he has been actively involved in teaching, laboratory instruction, undergraduate project supervision, and academic support activities. His teaching interests include electrical machines, power electronics, electrical measurements and instrumentation, graphical programming, data acquisition, and energy utilization.
His research interests focus on renewable energy technologies, energy harvesting systems, electrical power engineering, and sustainable energy solutions. His undergraduate research explored the design and implementation of a piezoelectric footstep power harvesting device for electricity generation, reflecting his interest in developing innovative and environmentally sustainable engineering technologies.
In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, he has contributed to several academic and administrative initiatives within the Faculty of Technology, including student development and departmental coordination activities. He is committed to advancing engineering education through innovative teaching, practical learning, and applied research while continuously expanding his professional knowledge and contributing to the development of sustainable engineering solutions.
