The Faculty of Technology is the latest addition to the family of Rajarata University. Located in the historic city of Mihintale the Faculty provides a unique learning and working experience for its students and the staff. While producing high-quality Technology graduates, who can thrive in the global job market, the faculty has a clear vision of becoming a leader in research & innovation. The faculty’s strong alliance with the industry and foreign universities ensures that the students get relevant and up-to-date education in their classrooms and laboratories.
Women in STEM
Female students are traditionally under-represented in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) stream both internationally and in Sri Lanka. The Science and Technology Human Resource Development Project (STHRDP) aims to increase the number of female student taking up technology and engineering programs and persuade them to seek careers in non-traditional sectors. The interviews presented here showcase the views of female undergraduate students enrolled in non-traditional areas of study at the Technology Faculties in Sri Lanka
