Students Outreach Program – Key of Techno Exhibition

The Faculty of Technology, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, continues to place strong emphasis on outreach activities that bridge the gap between higher education and the wider community. As part of this mission, the Faculty proudly participated in the Key of Techno Exhibition held at Divulankadawala President College on 30th September 2025. This initiative was designed not only to showcase technological innovations, but also to cultivate curiosity, inspire ambition, and foster a deeper connection between university students and school learners.

The exhibition served as a vibrant platform to expose school students and the surrounding community to the exciting possibilities within the field of technology. By bringing together academic knowledge, practical applications, and creative ideas, the event demonstrated how technology can be a driving force for education, industry, and national development. It also provided students with the rare opportunity to engage directly with university-level innovations and to ask questions, explore ideas, and visualize their own future in the technology sector.

Students from the Departments of Electrical and Electronic Technology, Materials Technology, and Information and Communication Technology actively contributed to the event. Through innovative displays, interactive demonstrations, and hands-on experiments, they highlighted both the depth of knowledge gained through their studies and the creativity fostered within the Faculty. These contributions were particularly impactful in motivating young learners to think beyond the classroom and to see technology as a pathway for higher education and rewarding career opportunities.

Beyond the exhibition itself, this outreach activity emphasized the Faculty’s dedication to knowledge sharing, social responsibility, and community engagement. By interacting directly with school students and teachers, the Faculty strengthened its role as a partner in shaping future generations. The enthusiasm displayed by both the university and school students underscored the importance of such programs in building confidence, nurturing innovation, and encouraging responsible use of technology.

Through this participation, the Faculty reaffirmed its commitment to empowering the next generation with knowledge, skills, and inspiration. Initiatives like these not only create awareness of the opportunities in technology-related studies, but also lay the foundation for a future workforce capable of addressing local and global challenges through innovation and collaboration.
