The Research Excellence Awards 2025 are organized to recognize, appreciate, and honour the academic staff members of the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka who demonstrate excellence in research, innovation, and scholarly work. These awards aim to encourage greater engagement in research and teaching activities while inspiring junior academics to pursue impactful research that enhances the university’s national and international reputation. Furthermore, the initiative seeks to strengthen collaborative research efforts both within the university and with external partners. A total of sixteen (16) awards categories are presented at the university and faculty levels as outlined below.
